Doom Eternal’s first expansion will be released in October
The first campaign expansion for Doom Eternal, The Ancient Gods: Part One, will be released on Oct. 20, publisher Bethesda has announced. A new trailer shows gameplay footage of the expansion.
In The Ancient Gods: Part One, the player must once again make his way through Urdak, defeating new demons, as taking down the Khan Maykr has disrupted the balance. The expansion’s gameplay trailer also features familiar opponents such as the Cyberdemon and Marauders.
It is the first of two expansions for Doom Eternal. Owners of the Doom Eternal Year One Pass or the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive The Ancient Gods: Part One at no additional cost. The expansion is also available separately for $ 20.
Bethesda and developer id Software announced at the Opening Night Live event of this year’s virtual Gamescom that the expansion will be released on October 20. It is not known when the second expansion will appear.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Doom Eternal is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, with current owners of the game getting the next-gen console version for free.
