Donald Trump is allowed on YouTube again. The Google subsidiary announced this on Friday. The former president lost his access to the platform after the storming of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

YouTube is reposting Trump’s YouTube channel known on Twitter. “We have carefully assessed the ongoing risk of real-world violence, balanced with the opportunity for voters to hear equally from key national candidates in the run-up to the election,” the company wrote. YouTube emphasizes that its terms and conditions continue to apply to the account.

It is not yet known whether the former president of the United States will also use his access to the social medium. He got his Twitter account back at the end of last year and Meta followed with his accounts on Instagram and Facebook earlier this year. However, he has not yet used it.
