The Chinese drone manufacturer DJI is launching the DJI Phantom 4 Pro 2.0. This new model includes a new video transmission system and should be able to fly quieter than the Phantom 4 Pro.

An important innovation of the Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 compared to the regular Phantom 4 Pro is the addition of new propellers that are slightly bent at the ends. This should ensure that the drone can fly more quietly than its predecessor. DJI speaks of a noise limitation of 4dB with the Phantom 4 Pro v2.0.

The new version features the OcuSync video transmission system, while the Phantom 4 Pro has to make do with Lightbridge. OcuSync supports the function to automatically switch between 2.4 and 5.8GHz and allows you to connect to the DJI Goggles wirelessly. The delay would be kept to a minimum.

Furthermore, the Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 is broadly comparable to the Phantom 4 Pro. The 13 grams heavier new version has the same 20-megapixel sensor in the 1″ format and a 24mm lens, with the aperture adjustable from f/2.8 to f/11. Filming can be done in 4k resolution up to 60fps, with a maximum bit rate of 100Mbit/s.

DJI’s latest drone will cost 1699 euros, exactly the same introductory price of the Phantom 4 Pro. The version with the built-in screen, with a brightness of 1000cd/m², costs 1999 euros.
