DJI releases the Pocket 3 for 539 euros. The handheld camera has a built-in three-axis gimbal and supports recording slow-motion videos in up to 4k resolution at a frame rate of 120fps and regular videos at up to 60fps

The DJI Pocket 3 has a 1″ camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Although the brand does not mention the camera resolution, the previous model had a significantly smaller sensor, at 1/1.7″. However, the new handheld camera can only take photos with a 9.4-megapixel resolution, while previously this was a maximum of 64 megapixels. Furthermore, the camera supports various recording resolutions, including a slow-motion function in 4k and 1080p with a respective frame rate of 120 and 240fps. In terms of resolutions, that is also the range for regular videos, but with a frame rate of between 24 and 60fps. The maximum bit rate is 130Mb/s.

DJI equips the Pocket 3 with a 1300mAh battery. According to the company the battery can be charged to 80 percent within 16 minutes and a full battery lasts 166 minutes. A separately available extra battery is available that adds 950mAh of battery capacity. This battery can be clicked onto the handle. The larger battery supplies power to a larger and now also tiltable screen. Images can be viewed on the 2″ OLED screen at up to 700cd/m² and in the full DCI-P3 color spectrum. The Pocket 3 supports microSD cards with a storage capacity of up to 512GB.
