Divinity: Original Sin 2 is coming to iPad
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition is coming to iPad. The game was shown at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference as part of graphics debugging on the platform. It is the second mobile platform on which the game appears.
CNET writes that Larian is in the process of adding touchscreen controls, a new interface, and controller support. It is unknown when the game will be released. At CNET, Larian says the port is “a long way from being ready,” but in the announcement Apple is rumored to be bringing the game to the iPad ‘soon’.
The iPad is the second mobile platform the game would appear on, after the Nintendo Switch. However, the game can already be played on mobile devices via GeForce NOW, but that is about streaming and not an actual port. The game is also available for Windows, PS4, Xbox One and macOS. The original release was in 2017.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a fantasy themed role-playing game. Players work their way through the world and story on their own or with up to three others in a party. The game has an ‘isometric’ perspective and the battles are turn-based. The studio continues to work on a new Baldur’s Gate.
