Disney+ Series Obi-Wan Kenobi Coming May 25
The Disney+ series about Obi-Wan Kenobi will be released on the streaming service on May 25. The series is set ten years after Star Wars: Episode III and Ewan McGregor plays the role of Kenobi, just like in the prequel films. There will be six episodes of the series.
It Star Wars Twitter Channel Share a poster from the series, showing Obi-Wan Kenobi walking in a desert. Presumably it concerns the planet Tatooine. Earlier rumors already pointed to a release in May.
The series is set in the years following Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. In the series, Kenobi watches over Anakin Skywalker’s son Luke. Darth Vader also appears in it and is again played by Hayden Christensen. Christensen also played Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in the prequel films.
Disney announced the release date of Obi-Wan Kenobi on the same day as the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett. This series revolves around the bounty hunter of the Star Wars universe and how he plans to take over the empire from Jabba the Hutt.
