Discord started making a selection of games available to Nitro subscribers a year ago. The company is due to sign new contracts next month to renew licenses on those games, but is not going to do so. According to Discord, the games are not played by the majority of subscribers.
When launched last year, Nitro subscribers got access to 60 games. It mostly concerns indie games including Dead Cells, Abzu, Hob and FTL. Older games such as Saints Row 3, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light are also available. On October 15, the Nitro Games catalog will disappear. If desired, subscribers can cancel their current subscription and contact us for a refund.
Discord Nitro has been around since 2016. The subscription costs $10 per month or $100 per year and gives users additional capabilities within the Discord app, such as uploading larger files and better image quality for streaming gameplay. The subscription continues without the games.
