DiRT Rally 2.0 gets support for Oculus Rift in the summer zomer
Codemasters will add VR support to DiRT Rally 2.0 after the game releases on February 26. An update will be released in the summer that will make the game compatible with the Oculus Rift headset.
Codemasters says in a tweet that it listened and that Oculus did too. The publisher is referring to complaints about the lack of VR support with DiRT Rally 2.0. When that game was announced last September, there was no mention of VR support. The first part had support for the Oculus Rift and the PlayStation 4 version worked in conjunction with the PSVR headset.
In the tweet, Codemasters only mentions Oculus support. There seems to be no PSVR version for the time being. It’s possible that it will come later and that Oculus has negotiated temporary exclusivity. With the first version of DiRT Rally, PlayStation VR support also came out later, moreover, this was done via a paid update.
