Developer Dice has published a new trailer of the battle royale mode for Battlefield V that shows more than three minutes of gameplay footage. The battle royale mode called Firestorm will be released on March 25th.

In the trailer, Firestorm’s playing field is described as a large sandbox and the largest map ever, ten times the size of the relatively large North African Hamada map, which is already part of Battlefield V. The large playing field can accommodate up to 64 players , where there is a solo and a squad mode.

By the time Firestorm mode comes out on March 25, a total of 17 different vehicles will be available. This collection ranges from tanks and jeeps with machine guns to a truck, a prototype helicopter and a tractor. There are also boats available and an amphibious vehicle such as the German Schwimmwagen.

Also available is the infamous Sturmtiger, a mechanized gun capable of firing 380mm missiles. However, these types of armored fighting vehicles are quite rare and are locked in bunkers, which can be opened faster by working together. Anti-tank weapons and explosives are available to attack armored vehicles.

Equipment and weapons are scattered around the map. If you are felled by an opponent, you get one last chance to defend yourself, with a few more shots that can be fired with a pistol. However, teammates can also bring you back to life.

Players can also complete a task to get a special special equipment in the form of a drop. This can be, for example, a tank, an artillery fire, but also a V1 rocket. However, according to the makers of Battlefield V, these are not easy to obtain.

Firestorm will be released as an update to Battlefield V on March 25. It is also a game mode that follows the traditional rules of a battle royale mode; players land via parachutes on the partly snowy battlefield, they have to search for weapons and there is a ring of fire that shrinks the playing field. Earlier there was already a cinematographic trailer and before that a leaked instructional video.
