Development studio behind Tropico and Surviving Mars working on Jagged Alliance 3
Game publisher THQ Nordic has announced in a trailer that a Jagged Alliance 3 is coming. It is the first game in the franchise to have a number in the title since 1999. According to THQ it should be ‘a true successor’. The game will also have an online co-op mode.
The trailer shows that the tactical turn-based gameplay that the franchise is known for is once again a part of the game. In addition, players must assemble their private army of mercenaries, including contract negotiations. Also, in the trailer and on the Steam page, it can be seen that the various mercenaries have their own specialties, personalities, stories and quirks. In addition, the Steam page shows some additional screenshots.
According to the Steam page, players and their mercenaries must free the fictional country of Grand Chien from the hands of the paramilitary group The Legion and rescue the president-elect from captivity. Just like in previous games, it’s a matter of taking territory territory by territory.
The development studio behind the game is Haemimont, from Bulgaria. The studio is known for games like the Tropico series, Victor Vran, Surviving Mars, Omerta – City of Gangsters and a number of others. The trailer only shows a PC logo at the end, which makes it unlikely that this game will also come to consoles. THQ Nordic has not announced a release date.
