Developer version of Dead Island 2 has hit the web
An early version of Dead Island 2 has surfaced on the internet. The game, which was announced six years ago, has been plagued with delays.
It is probably a build that is years old, and the source of which is unclear. The build is playable and images and videos of it have been posted online to give you an idea of what Dead Island 2 looks like. Because the game is years old, it is unclear to what extent the images shown still correspond to the current state of the game.
However, the current state of Dead Island 2 is unclear. The game should have been released in 2015, but it didn’t work out. A new developer was put on it in 2016, but then it went silent, leading many to believe the project has been quietly cancelled. However, last year it was confirmed that a release is still planned, although no release date has been mentioned.
Recently, a build of another game appeared, namely SimRefinery from Maxis. However, this game is much older, and was intended as a training program for the oil company Chevron, with the aim of teaching employees how an oil refinery works. The game was thought to be lost.
