An indie studio called Further Beyond has released a version of the classic Wolfenstein 3D for various virtual reality goggles. The title, called Wolfenstein 3D VR, is free to download.

Released in 1992 by id Software, the first-person shooter was created by the American studio Further Beyond for the HTC Vive, the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality glasses. The game can be downloaded as a rar file from the developer’s website.

There is support for the vr hand controllers, with the weapons designed in 3d to enhance the vr experience. There is an option for left-handers and you can move with the head mounted display, but also with the controller.

The vr game is described by the creator as a ‘shareware release’; the game is still in development. Wolfenstein 3D VR contains ten levels filled with the usual maze-like halls, attacking sheepdogs and hordes of Nazi soldiers.
