Developer releases alpha version of Xcom-like game Xenonauts-2
Goldhawk Interactive has released an early alpha version of Xenonauts-2. This is a demo that is free to download. The developer is raising money on Kickstarter to make the game and has already reached the target amount.
The public alpha version of Xenonauts-2 is available for download on GOG. It is an early build intended to test gameplay and stability. The free demo will disappear at some point, as the game enters a paid alpha stage.
Goldhawk Interactive is raising money on Kickstarter to create Xenonauts-2 and has already reached the target amount of 50,000 euros. At the time of writing, approximately EUR 70,000 has been raised. The makers believe that the game could be released as a paid Early Access version on Steam and GOG around November 2018.
Like the first part, Xenonauts-2 is a tactical turn-based game that resembles the classic Xcom games. According to the makers, the successor has a more extensive research tree. The first part was released in 2014 and also came out after a successful Kickstarter campaign. The game raised about $155,000 at the time.
