Is Bloodborne on the list of games you want to play, but you don’t have a PlayStation 4 at home? Then you can now get started with Yarntown, a Zelda-like 2d game inspired by Bloodborne. Yarntown is free to play on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Yarntown was created by developer Max Mraz. He calls the game a Zelda-esque tribute to Bloodborne. In the 2D game, players must explore a cursed Gothic village and defeat monsters and bosses. The game plays like a simplified version of Bloodborne, the Souls game from FromSoftware that came out exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in 2015.

The game is made with the Solarus engine. The Windows version of Yarntown is 34MB and can be played immediately after downloading. To play the game on Linux or macOS, the Solarus launcher is also required. Developer Mraz has made the source code of his creation available on GitHub.
