Developer Nvizzio postpones Rollercoaster Tycoon World to next year
The release of Rollercoaster Tycoon World has been delayed until early 2016. Developer Nvizzio Creations says it will take more time to process feedback from beta testers and ensure that the game “meets the high expectations set by the previous games.”
Based on the first beta test that began on October 30, the developer says it has received so much feedback and bug reports that it has decided to push the release forward. In addition, Nvizzio emphasizes that the beta was ‘not complete or final’. In the final game, players will be able to ride their own roller coasters from a visitor’s perspective, there will be a campaign mode, extensive economy and user-generated content.
The studio has prepared a small list of features and improvements it plans to include in the game. Above all, there will be the option to build roller coasters from pre-assembled parts, as was the case with previous games in the franchise. In the beta, players could only build lanes freehand. The same goes for paths and fences; these can later also be placed on an underlying grid. In addition, the roller coaster tests will provide more data in the future to make it easier for players to achieve certain effects on their visitors.
The second beta test for players to participate in is also moving. That is now planned for the month of December, but Nvizzio does not specify the date. At the same time as the second beta test, the developer will also announce a specific release date. For the time being, it is listed at the beginning of 2016.
