Developer Full Circle: skate becomes free-to-play

EA studio Full Circle has released more details about skate, the alleged successor to the Skate 3. The game will be free-to-play, with cross-play and cross-progression support. Skate comes out for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Mobile devices will follow at a later date.

The game will take place in San Vansterdam, a sister city of the virtual city of San Vanelona from Skate 1 and Skate 2. In the new game it will be possible to build game worlds together with other players via the CollaboZones where other gamers can also play in real-life. can play time.

Despite the game being free-to-play, skate will not receive paid loot boxes and no paid options to gain an advantage over other players. In addition, there will be no map behind a paywall. Developer Full Circle did announce that events and seasonal drops will appear. The game will contain micro-transactions, although the details are not yet clear.

Developer Full Circle chose not to title the game Skate 4 because, according to the company, it is not a successor, reboot or even a remake of the game franchise. According to the makers, Skate is a new platform that will expand considerably in the coming years.

In late June, Full Circle began a closed playtest for PC gamers. The game was still in a very early development stage at the time. The game studio wants to admit even more interested gamers to the closed tests and collect as much feedback as possible.
