Deus Ex producer Warren Spector is working on a new game
Warren Spector, who produced Deus Ex and System Shock, among others, is going to work on a new game. According to him, it will be “an immersive sim based on a completely new intellectual property.”
The game is being developed by OtherSide Entertaintment, the studio that Spector has been with since 2016. “Fans of my work already know what to expect: an immersive world and a compelling story that players can influence through their choices and playstyle,” Spector writes.
He already shows concept art of the game. Further details about the game, such as the name and which systems it will be released on, are not yet known. Spector reports that the project is in early development and he promises to provide more information “soon”.
OtherSide Entertainment was founded in 2013 by Paul Neurath, who worked at Looking Glass Studios. There, Neurath was the creative director of the stealth games Thief and Thief II: The Metal Age. The last game OtherSide released was Underworld Ascendent. This RPG was released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The studio also worked on a sequel to System Shock 2, but development seems to be on hold.
