Details suspected camera variant Samsung Galaxy S5 appear online
Details have surfaced online of what would become the Galaxy S5’s camera variant. The suspected Galaxy S5 Zoom has a 19 megapixel camera and has a 4.8 “screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels.
The details come from a benchmark result in the database of the graphics test GFXBench. The result indicates that the device will receive a hexacore processor, an Exynos 5 Hexa. Samsung first used that processor in the Galaxy Note 3 Neo. The soc combines two Cortex A15 processor cores with four more economical and less powerful Cortex A7 cores. The GPU is a Mali-T624 from ARM.
Details about the camera of the device are scarce: the maximum resolution is 5184×3888 pixels, from which it can be deduced that it is a 19-megapixel camera. Whether there is an optical zoom function and a xenon flash, just like on the Galaxy S4 Zoom, is unclear, but it is obvious. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2.
Last year, Samsung released the Galaxy S4 Zoom, a smartphone with a 4.3″ screen, xenon flash and optical zoom. The year before, Samsung already introduced the Galaxy Camera, a camera with 4.8″ LCD and Android. .
