Details of possible HTC One X9 with 23-megapixel camera come out – update
Data has come out of an unannounced HTC smartphone called the One X9. The device is said to have a 23-megapixel camera in a metal housing. Internally, the hardware would have been built around the Snapdragon 820-soc.
Information about the device came out via the Chinese social networking site Weibo, where regularly the first details about unannounced smartphones come out. User kinghunki, who often releases information, states that HTC is working on a smartphone that will come on the market with the name One X9. Although the reliability of the information is difficult to verify via Weibo, the poster did provide an image and specifications of the device. One of the most eye-catching specifications is the 23-megapixel camera, with a 4-megapixel camera of the Ultrapixel type on the front.
Furthermore, HTC would have chosen the Snapdragon 820 as the heart of the machine, supported by 4GB of ram. You could choose between 64GB and 128GB storage memory, while all models have a battery with a capacity of 3500mAh. It appears to be a smartphone with a metal housing, with HTC’s BoomSound speakers on the front. Nothing was mentioned about the screen size and resolution.
According to rumors, HTC will also come with a cheaper model, which will be released in China at least. With 3GB and 32GB respectively, this model has less ram and storage memory, and would get a converted price of less than 440 euros. The price of the high-end model, just like the possible release date, is not yet known.
Last month, HTC released the One A9, a smartphone with a 5 “screen and Snapdragon 617-soc, also with a metal housing. The One X9 seems, if the rumors are correct, to be a more high-end version of this smartphone.
Update, Monday: Twitterer and HTC insider LlabFooTeR denies the stated specifications of the alleged X9.
