Details about new Dell mini PCs ‘Zino HD’ surfaced
Details have emerged about two mini desktop systems that Dell will release under the name Inspiron Zino HD. One system will be based on the Atom platform and the other will be equipped with AMD Athlon processors.
The small Zino HD desktop computers will come out as Inspiron 300 and Inspiron 400, according to the instructions which Dellzinohd.com managed to get their hands on lay. The 300 will house an Atom CPU from Intel and will also be equipped with 1GB of 533MHz DDR2 memory, an unspecified 3.5″ drive, a super multi-drive and a 4-in1 card reader. The computer will continue contain a vga out, four usb ports and audio in and out.The video chip is the GMA 950, the standard IGP of Intel’s 945GC chipset, so the question is to what extent the PC can handle the designation HD This model will not have a built-in wlan module and eSATA interface.
The Inspiron 400 will contain an Athlon or Athlon X2 CPU and this model will receive an RS780G chipset. The IGP of this chip provides the graphics, but this Zino HD can optionally also be equipped with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330. In addition to VGA, this model also contains HDMI. Furthermore, the 400 can be equipped with a maximum of 8GB 800MHz DDR2, WiFi-N is available and the super multi-drive can be exchanged for a Blu-ray copy. The Inspiron 400 also contains two eSATA ports above the connections of the 300. The dimensions of the systems are 197.6×197.6x89mm and the Zino HD’s weigh 1.6KG.
