Destiny beta will start in July

The beta test of shooting game Destiny will start in July. Activision confirmed this during the announcement of its quarterly figures. The beta of the Bungie-developed game will be available to anyone who has pre-ordered the game.

The beta will be available to PlayStation owners first. Activision Blizzard expects Destiny to become a major new franchise from the developer, and could be worth billions. Partly because of this, the studio has already invested 500 million dollars in the game. According to an Activision publication, the game is well on its way to setting a new record for the number of pre-orders made on an entirely new game that is not part of an already existing franchise.

Lately, Activision has been letting go more and more about their new mmo shooter. For example, the PvP gameplay will first have to be unlocked and a gameplay video of the ‘Devil’s Lair’ was released in April. Destiny will be available on September 9 this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
