Dell’s upcoming 10″ tablet with Windows 7 would be intended for the business market and would fall under the computer company’s Latitude line. The model would be equipped with a stylus and business functionality.

Dell’s tablet roadmap leaked this week, showing that the company is planning a 10″ model with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and codenamed Rosemount. Dell previously announced a 10″ model with Windows 7 as the operating system. From new details that Engadget managed to layit now appears that Dell will focus on the business market with the tablet.

Rosemount would fall under the Latitude brand name, which Dell uses for business notebooks, and would have business functionality such as encryption and remote wipe. The battery would also be replaceable and the tablet could be operated with a stylus as well as by hand. Rosemount thus seems to be a competitor of the Eee Slate 121, although that tablet is equipped with a considerably more powerful Core i5 and the screen of that model is somewhat larger. The Dell gets an Atom Oak Trail based on Intel’s Oak Trail platform.

If the report is true, Dell is trying to gain market share in the lucrative business tablet market, where Apple has made significant strides in a relatively short period of time.
