Dell unveils 86″ touchscreen 4k monitor for business users

Dell has announced several new monitors. This includes a touch-sensitive 86 “screen with a 4k resolution and USB-C connection, and some new models in the UltraSharp series. The company will show the screens during CES 2020.

The Dell C8621QT is an 86″ monitor with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and an IPS panel. The screen is touch sensitive up to 20 points and supports video output via both USB-C and DisplayPort alternate. The same USB-C connection supports power delivery up to 90W. The screen has four HDMI connections, a DisplayPort 1.2 connector and four USB ports. The screen also has a VGA connector and an Ethernet connection. Further specifications, such as brightness, are not yet known This screen will be released on April 10, around which time the suggested retail price will also be announced.

Dell also comes with some UltraSharp monitors, including a 42.5″ model with 4k resolution. The U4320Q includes an IPS panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a brightness of 350 cd/m2. The response time is 8ms, although this can be reduced to 5ms in ‘fast mode’ This screen contains two DisplayPort 1.2 connections, two HDMI 2.0 ports and a USB-C connector.

In addition, the company is releasing an UltraSharp 27″ monitor with a 4k resolution. This screen will receive DisplayHDR 400 certification and can display 95 percent of the dci-p3 color space. This screen will also be available as a 25″ variant with a lower resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Both screens also have a single DisplayPort 1.2 connection, an HDMI 2.0 port and a USB-C connection. Both displays have the same response time of 8ms, with a fast mode for 5ms.

Furthermore, Dell comes with some more affordable screens in the E-series. They are available in variants from 19″ to 27″. The E-series monitors have IPS panels with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, integrated speakers and a foot that is adjustable in height. The monitors have an HDMI 1.4 connection and a VGA connector. The E-series screens will be released on January 8 for a suggested retail price of up to $290. Dell will also show new variants in the P series.
