Dell has introduced a number of new XPS laptops at Computex. The XPS 13 2-in-1 is Dell’s first laptop with Intel’s new Ice Lake processor. The XPS 15 is also updated with an OLED screen and the webcam moves from the bottom to the top edge of the screen.

Dell not only upgraded the new XPS 13 2-in-1 to the new Ice Lake processors, but also tweaked the design. The screen has a 16:10 ratio instead of the usual 16:9. Dell doesn’t mention the screen’s resolution, but talks about ‘fhd+’ and ‘uhd+’ options, of 1920×1200 and 3840×2400 pixels. The uhd+ panel is certified for hdr400 and Dolby Vision. The webcam is integrated into the top edge of the screen, just like with the last version of the regular XPS 13.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 is equipped with an Ice Lake processor, which is actively cooled. The previous generation XPS 13 2-in-1 models still came with passively cooled Amber Lake CPUs. Dell will supply dual-core or quad-core processors and a maximum of 32GB of RAM. The SSD has a maximum size of 1TB and the battery has a capacity of 51Wh.

The wireless network card has also been renewed. It is a Killer AX1650, with support for 802.11ax networks. The keyboard uses Dell’s second-generation maglev keys. Dell already used the first generation of those maglev keyboards in the XPS 15 2-in-1.

Dell will also officially announce the new XPS 15 during the fair, the specifications of which were largely already known unofficially. The laptop gets ninth generation Intel processors, a GTX 1650 video card, and an optional OLED screen. Dell will supply the laptop with a maximum of 64GB of RAM and a 2 Terabyte SSD. Like the XPS 13 2-in-1, the XPS 15 gets the new Killer 1650 wireless network card. The webcam moves from the bottom to the top screen edge.

Update, 12:38 PM: Added specifications of the XPS 13 2-in-1.
