Dell presents two curved 34″ Alienware monitors with G-Sync
Dell has presented two curved 34″ monitors from its subsidiary Alienware, both of which support Nvidia’s G-Sync. The AW3418DW has a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels, while the cheaper AW3418HW has a resolution of 2560×1080 pixels.
The AW3418DW gets a refresh rate of 120Hz, and has a 1900R curvature and an IPS panel. The AW3418HW has a refresh rate of 160Hz and a curvature of 3800R. It is still unknown what panel is in this monitor. According to Dell, the gray-to-gray response time of both monitors is 4ms. Other similarities are that the screens use the same base, have thin screen bezels, have the same number of connections, and use AlienFX software for lighting effects.
Further details on both monitors have not yet been disclosed. According to Dell, the AW3418DW will be available in the US on August 30 for a price of $1499. The AW3418HW will be released in late fall for $1,199. Prices and availability dates for the Benelux are still unknown; Dell could not be reached for comment.
