Dell launches 4k laser projector and curved 37.5″ HDR monitor
Dell has announced an ultra-short throw 4k laser projector that can project a 100″ diagonal image at a distance of about 10cm. The manufacturer also comes with a curved 37.5″ monitor, with a resolution of 3840×1600 pixels. and hdr10 support.
The laser projector can also project a 130″ screen size, but then the device needs to be about 23cm away from the projection surface. The Dell S718QL has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a brightness of 5000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 1300:1 There are also HDR support and a high contrast mode, in which the contrast ratio increases to 100,000:1, according to Dell.
Together with the projector, Dell presents its first 37.5″ monitor: the UltraSharp U3818DW. The monitor uses an IPS panel, presumably from LG. It concerns the panel with a resolution of 3840×1600 pixels, which is also made by Acer, Asus and LG in monitors has been applied.
Dell makes a curved version of the large 21:9 monitor. The screen has a curve of 2300R and there is support for the HDR10 standard. A kvm switch is also built in, so that two systems can be connected to the screen.
Dell will sell the laser projector in the US from July 19 for $ 5999. Converted and including VAT, that is about 6442 euros. The UltraSharp U3818DW will go on sale in the US on June 23 for $1499. Converted with VAT, that comes down to about 1609 euros.
