Dell launches 165Hz gaming monitor with G-Sync support
Dell has released a new gamer-focused monitor, the Dell S2417DG. The 2560×1440 pixel screen measures 24″ and has a maximum refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The screen also supports Nvidia’s G-Sync functionality.
The tn panel has a low response time of 1ms and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 with a viewing angle of 170 degrees horizontally and 160 degrees vertically, in combination with narrow bezels. In addition, there is also a USB 3.0 hub in the monitor. This is adjustable in height and can also be tilted 90 degrees. The S2417DG is the 24″ version of the S2716DG released at the end of last year.
No specifications page has been set up by Dell yet, but there is a product page. The product page shows the design and some basic details. A PDF with environmental label data is also available on the site. Unfortunately, it is not clear from that document what audio and video ports the monitor has.
