Dell Introduces Venue 8 Pro and Venue 10 Pro Tablets
Dell has announced two tablets for the business market. The Venue 8 Pro and Venue 10 Pro both contain Atom-socs and run Windows 10. Dell ships them with a stylus and the tablets come out in November.
With its business tablets, Dell mainly focuses on use in the sales, healthcare, hospitality, education and manufacturing sectors. The Venue 8 Pro has an 8″ screen with a resolution of 1280×800 or 1920×1200 pixels, the Venue 10 Pro shows 1920×1200 pixels on its 10.1″ screen. Other differences are that the 10.1″ tablet can be clicked on a keyboard, and is equipped with two speakers and microphones.
The models run Windows 10, have 4GB of RAM and are equipped with a USB type-c connection. Dell promises to release a docking station with this connector for the tablets next year. In addition, there is a regular USB connection, micro HDMI and a micro SD card slot. The tablets also support 2×2 WiFi ac.
The manufacturer supplies a Wacom stylus as standard, support for lte and nfc are optional. The tablets will come to the Benelux in November. Dell has not announced Euro prices yet, but in the US the Venue 8 pro and the 10 Pro cost 299 and 429 dollars respectively. Converted and including VAT, this is 325 and 467 euros in succession.
