Dell introduces its UltraSharp webcam. The webcam has a 4k resolution and supports AI autoframing, which allows the webcam to track users’ movements using software, so that they are always centered in the image.

The cylindrical Dell UltraSharp webcam connects via USB-C and features a Sony Starvis sensor with 4k resolution, which captures images at up to 30fps. Users can also record or stream 1080p or 720p footage at up to 60fps, the specs show . In addition, users can set the field-of-view ; users can choose from 65-degree, 78-degree or 90-degree viewing angles. The UltraSharp 4K webcam is also equipped with autofocus, HDR support and up to 5x digital zoom.

Dell provides the UltraSharp webcam with several software features, including the aforementioned AI autoframing. The product also gets an infrared sensor for Windows Hello facial recognition. When paired with Dell PCs, the UltraSharp webcam supports an Express Sign-In feature, which uses a remote sensor to automatically log in and out users when they sit down or walk away from their PC.

The UltraSharp webcam is 90mm long and has a diameter of 42mm. The webcam is magnetically placed on a supplied monitor mount. Dell also includes a magnetic lens hood. The webcam does not have an integrated microphone.

A price of 297.65 euros is mentioned on the Dutch product page, although the product is sold there for 217.70 euros at the time of writing. The delivery time is one to two weeks.
