Dell showed off the latest version of the XPS 15 2-in-1 at CES. The laptop is equipped with an Intel processor with a built-in AMD GPU and a new keyboard that uses magnets.

Unlike its 13-inch brother, the 15″ version of the XPS 2-in-1 does not have a frugal Core M processor, but a quad-core processor with built-in AMD GPU. There is a choice of a Core i5 and i7 variant. You can also choose from 8GB or 16GB ram, a 1080p or 4k screen and an SSD of up to 1TB.

For the keyboard, Dell has applied a new technique that uses magnets. The keys are held in place in the corners and the magnets provide the feedback. Dell claims that this would make the keys feel more comfortable than you would normally expect from the 0.7mm of travel.

In terms of connections, the XPS 15 2-in-1 is equipped with four USB-C connections, two of which support Thunderbolt 3. There is also a micro SD card reader and a headphone jack.

The Verge mentions that the laptop will have a suggested retail price of USD 1299.99 in the US, which is converted and with VAT around 1300 euros. It will be on sale from spring. Last year, Dell released a 13″ variant of the 2-in-1 XPS. This model is equipped with significantly slower hardware.
