Dell Introduces Latitude Laptops With Up To 30 Hours Battery Life And 5G Option

Dell introduces the Latitude 9510, a business laptop that will also be available as a 2-in-1 variant. The latter can optionally be equipped with a 5G modem. Both models will hit the market on March 26 with a suggested retail price starting at $1800.

The Latitude 9510 models come with a 52Wh or 88Wh battery. According to the manufacturer, the latter has a battery life of thirty hours. That was measured with a configuration with Core i5-10210U in the Mobile Mark 2014 benchmark.

Both Latitude models will receive a maximum of a tenth-generation Core i7 processor, with variants with Intel vPro to follow in July. The laptops use the integrated Intel UHD GPU and contain a maximum of 16GB lpddr3 ram with a speed of 2133MHz. The laptops both get a maximum of a single NVME SSD with a capacity of 1TB. Dell provides the laptops with Windows 10 Home or Pro 64-bit. A version with Ubuntu will follow in May.

The Latitude models have a 15″ screen with full HD resolution, with the WVA panel of the 2-in-1 being touch sensitive. The screen of the 2-in-1 model also has a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The panel type and glass type of the other laptop are not mentioned, but Dell does report that both devices use a super low power panel, both screens have a maximum brightness of 400cd/m2.

The Latitude 9510 models get two Thunderbolt 3 ports with displayport alt mode and power delivery. In addition, the laptops get a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port of type A. The Latitude 9150 also gets an HDMI 2.0 connection, a micro-SD card reader and a micro-SIM slot.

The laptops also get a shieldable infrared camera with support for Windows Hello and an optional fingerprint scanner. The Latitude 9150 models support WiFi 6 as standard and can be equipped with a Qualcomm X20 modem for 4G connectivity. The 2-in-1 gets a 5g option with an X55 modem. The laptops also support Miracast and bluetooth 5.0.
