Dell Introduces First 40″ Curved Monitor with 5120×2160 Resolution
Dell presents a curved 40″ monitor with a 21:9 ratio and a resolution of 5120×2160 pixels. The manufacturer also introduces a series of Video Conferencing Monitors with integrated webcams and Microsoft Teams button.
Dell’s UltraSharp U4021QW is the first 40″ monitor with a resolution of 5120×2160 pixels. LG and MSI previously released monitors with the same resolution, but they were flat 34″ screens. The new Dell screen has a curvature of 2500R, which is equal to the curvature of a circle with a radius of 2.5 meters.
The screen has a hub with numerous USB ports and an Ethernet connection. The monitor has, among other things, a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3, which can be used to power a laptop, for example. Up to 90W is available via the Power Delivery standard.
Dell also comes with a smaller variant, the U3821DW. This 38″ version has a resolution of 3840×1600 pixels and curvature of 2300R. This screen also has a hub with many connections, but the USB-C port has no Thunderbolt 3 support. Both screens are adjustable in height, swivel and tilt According to Dell, the monitors will be available worldwide on January 28.

Monitors with integrated webcam and Microsoft Teams button
Dell is also introducing a new Video Conferencing Monitor series. It consists of three monitors with a built-in 5-megapixel webcam. The screens also have an infrared camera for logging in with Windows Hello. The monitors are certified for use with Microsoft Teams and have a button on the front to join Teams meetings.
The C2422HE, C2722DE and C3422WE have resolutions of 1920×1080, 2560×1440 and 3440×1440 pixels respectively. The 34″ model has a curved panel. The monitors have integrated stereo speakers and a built-in noise-cancelling microphone.
According to Dell, the Video Conferencing Monitor models will be available February 16. The smallest 24″ model costs $520, the 27″ version has a suggested retail price of $720 and the curved 34″ variant will be priced at $1150. Dell has not yet communicated euro prices. Euro prices are almost equal to dollar prices.
