Dell Introduces 24″ UltraSharp with 16:10 Aspect Ratio
Dell is coming soon with two new displays in the UltraSharp line. There will be a model with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10 and in addition there will be a curved screen with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. Two Studio models will also appear.
According to TFTCentral, the UltraSharp U2415 has a screen diagonal of 24 inches and a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. Where most monitors today use an aspect ratio of 16:9, the U2415 has a ratio of 16:10, which lovers of extra vertical space will appreciate. The brightness is up to 300cd/m² and the gray-to-gray response time is 6ms to 8ms. Furthermore, there is a screen edge of 6.9 mm thickness and the screen can be adjusted in height, but also tilted and rotated. The connections concern two HDMI, displayport, minidisplayport, displayport-out and five USB 3.0 ports. The monitor is currently only available on the Chinese site of Dell, for a price of 409 euros.
Earlier, Dell already gave a teaser of the U3415W. This is a curved screen with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels, with which Dell competes with LG’s comparable monitor, among others. The screen features HDMI 2.0, MHL, DisplayPort, and Mini DisplayPort connectivity, and 9-watt speakers. The U3415W will arrive in December for an unknown price and the other specifications are not known either.
Finally, according to TFTCentral, there will be two more new screens in the Studio line. The S2415H and S2715H are respectively a 24″ and a 27″ model with full HD resolution. The brightness in both cases is 250cd/m² and the gray-to-gray response time is 6ms. The Studio models have a VGA and HDMI connection and audio in and out. Only the 27″ model has a duo of USB 2.0 ports. The prices of the S2415H and S2715H are respectively 189 euros and 372 euros, but the exact euro prices have yet to be announced.
