Dell Announces UP2718Q UHD Monitor with HDR10 Support
Dell announces a 27″ monitor with a uhd resolution and support for the hdr10 standard. The UltraSharp UP2718Q has a peak brightness of one thousand candelas per square meter. The screen will be priced at $2,000 in the US.
Dell has not yet given detailed technical details about the monitor, but mentions in the announcement that the panel can display the full Adobe RGB color space and 97.7 percent of the dci-p3 standard. 76.9 percent of the rec2020 color space can be displayed.
The 27″ screen has a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and supports the HDR10 standard. With HDR material, the peak brightness is 1000cd/m2, with normal image material, the maximum brightness is 400cd/m2.
With these specifications, the screen meets the ‘UHD Alliance Premium Certification’. Dell aims with the UP2718Q at professional image editors who want to process HDR images. In the US, the monitor will hit the market on May 23 for $2,000. Converted including VAT, this is approximately 2,225 euros.
