Dell has announced a range of new Inspiron laptops and desktops at Computex in Taiwan. Among other things, the group releases a 2-in1 device with a 15.6 “screen in the Inspiron 7000 series. There are also new Inspiron 5000 laptops with AMD APUs.

The Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 contains a 15.6″ touchscreen, which can be flipped 360 degrees for a tablet mode. It is an IPS screen with an unknown resolution. Dell has not yet provided many details about the device , but it is clear that the system is less than 20mm thick and supports Wi-Fi ac. It will optionally come equipped with a spill-resistant keyboard with backlight. It goes on sale June 23 in the US for a starting price of 550 dollars, converted 493 euros.

Dell is also updating its Inspiron 5000. For example, there will be models with new processors from both Intel and AMD, which are probably Broadwell and Carrizo chips respectively. The 15.6″ and 17″ laptops get full HD screens, but the 15.6″ laptops also come in variants with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and this is the only resolution on the 14″ Inspirons. A high-end ‘precision touchpad’ and backlighting of the keyboard are extras that are not standard with the laptops. The 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17-inch models will start in the US starting prices of $600, $450 and $700, respectively.

Furthermore, Dell is releasing the Inspiron 20 and 24 all-in-ones in the 3000 series. These are all-in-one desktops with a 19.5″ and a 23.8″ screen respectively. Both models get Intel Braswell processors and therefore no more powerful Broadwell chips, probably to keep costs down. In addition, the 23.8″ model will be available with AMD APUs and this model will be the only one of the two to get an IPS screen and the full HD resolution. The 24″ model will be available in the US in June for $480. , while the 20″ PhD student will follow in September for $330.

Finally, Dell is launching the Inspiron Micro. As the name implies, this is a compact system with dimensions of 13 by 13 cm. Dell provides the model with Intel Celeron or Pentium chips. Furthermore, hdmi, displayport, four USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader and gigabit ethernet are present, and there is also support for bluetooth and wifi-ac. The Micro is the only system for which the release info for the Benelux is known; the ‘Windows 8.1 with Bing’ system is available immediately for a starting price of 250 euros.
