Dell announces curved 32:9 monitor with resolution 5120×1440 pixels
Dell has announced the UltraSharp 49 Curved Monitor. The curved display has a diagonal of 49 inches and a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels and can therefore replace two 27″ monitors with QHD resolution, according to the company.
The wide screen, with type number U4919DW, is part of the introduction of a series of new UltraSharp monitors. Thanks to the diagonal of 49 “and the resolution of 5120×1440 pixels, the screen with an aspect ratio of 32:9 has a pixel density of 109 ppi. The curvature of the IPS panel is 3800R. In addition to USB-C support, HDMI and displayport are present. The U4919DW will be released in the US on October 26 for $1,700, which is $1,779 with VAT, but Dell has not yet announced details for a Benelux release.
Dell is also releasing the UltraSharp 34 Curved U3419W with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21:9 for $1150 and the UltraSharp 32 4K U3219Q, which is not curved but has 4k resolution, DisplayHDR 400 support and thin bezels. . The U3219Q is available immediately in the US for 1,100 euros.
