Dell announces 32″ monitor with 8k resolution
Dell has announced the UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K. The 32″ monitor offers an 8k resolution, giving the screen a pixel density of 280ppi. Dell is simultaneously releasing two InfinityEdge monitors with thin bezels for consumers.
Dell has molded the 32″ monitor with a resolution of 7680×4320 pixels and model number UP3218K into an aluminum housing. The screen can display 100 percent of the AdobeRGB and sRGB color spaces. The bezels of the monitor are kept relatively narrow. The 8k monitor will be available in the US on March 23, for a starting price of $ 4999. That is converted and with VAT 5708 euros.
In addition, Dell has announced the new S-series of consumer monitors. It consists of four models, of which the S2418HX and S2718HX are 24″ and 27″ models with thin bezels on all four sides. These therefore carry the InfinityEdge designation and, in addition, they support HDR playback and have 6W speakers. The other two are 22″ and 23″ monitors with 3W speakers. The resolution is 1920×1080 pixels.
The Dell 22 Monitor S2218H and Dell 23 Monitor S2318HX cost $199.99 and $219.99 respectively in the US. The Dell 24 InfinityEdge Monitor S2418HX and 27 InfinityEdge Monitor S2718HX will be available for $289.99 and $379.99 respectively. This will be the case for the four monitors from 23 February.
