Dell announces 13.3″ laptop with 3200×1800 pixel screen

Dell has introduced a new laptop at the consumer electronics show CES. The XPS 13 has a 13.3″ screen and is optionally supplied with a resolution of 3200×1800 pixels. The laptops are equipped with various Intel Core processors.

The company has announced the laptop on its site, among other things. The entry-level model contains an Intel Core i3 processor, while a more powerful variant is equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor. The RAM is set at 4 or 8GB and Dell has chosen Windows 8.1 as the operating system. The laptops are also supplied with an SSD of 128 or 256 GB.

The model with 3200×1800 pixels has a touchscreen. There is also a variant with a lower resolution, of 1920×1080 pixels. The bezels on the sides are 5.2 millimeters thin. Dell further claims that the laptop has a battery life of fifteen hours, but it is not stated with which options this is achieved. According to The Verge, it is the model with a lower resolution and an Intel Core i5 processor. The laptop would weigh about 1.2 kilograms.

In total, Dell offers the XPS 13 in seven different variants. The cheapest model has a retail price of $800, while the most expensive variant has to pay $1600. Converted, this concerns amounts of more than 670 and approximately 1350 euros. Dell sells the laptops, among other things, through its own site.
