Dell Adds Support for iPhones to Mobile Connect
Dell will add support for iPhones to its Mobile Connect software this spring. This allows laptop users to exchange files with their smartphone and receive notifications from the phone on their Windows laptop.
The software will be updated in the spring to add iOS support, Dell says. Mobile Connect works via WiFi and Bluetooth, and if the app is connected to a phone, it is possible to see notifications and exchange files.
The software works on any laptop from the XPS, Inspiron, Vostro and Alienware series. It comes by default on the laptop and does not require a download. The software has been working on Android phones for a few years now. All features of Mobile Connect also work on iOS, claims Dell. It is unknown when the update will be released.
