A deleted tweet from a German telecom journalist indicates that Asus will present the Zenfone 4 on September 21 in the Italian capital Rome. The tweet showed an image with an invitation to the event.

The image from the deleted tweet from Roland Quandt’s Twitter account shows a camera themed save-the-date. The tagline ‘Take a walk on the wide side’ seems to be a play on words on a wide-angle camera. LG, among others, has already released a few smartphones with such a lens.

The first Zenfone 3 phones were released in the Benelux in February and the manufacturer announced them at the Computex tech fair in Taiwan last year. There are still few rumors about the Zenfone 4 series, but according to Quandt there will be six models, including a Zenfone 4 Max, Zenfone 4 Pro and Zenfone 4 Selfie.

Asus has been releasing phones in the Benelux since the beginning of this year and the most recent addition is the Zenfone Zoom S with a large battery, OLED screen and dual camera. In addition, the Zenfone AR with support for Google Tango and Daydream has yet to come out and according to Google, that model will be available this summer.
