Deleted Google Tweet Talks About Pixel Buds A-Series Earphones
A tweet that has since been deleted from the official Android account talks about the new Pixel Buds A-Series earphones. It is probably a cheaper variant of the regular Pixel Buds earplugs. This variant gets an improved, faster Bluetooth pairing function.
The tweet speaks of “quality sound and fast Bluetooth pairing,” writes 9to5Google. This site took a screenshot of the tweet before the Android account deleted it. According to the tweet, the new product will receive support for Fast Pair. Fast Pair is a new Android feature that allows users to quickly pair phones with Bluetooth accessories through a pop-up connect button. This feature requires at least Android 6.0.
A photo of the earphones in the charging case is also shown in the tweet. The design of the A-Series has not changed significantly compared to the more expensive variant. The A-Series do have a different color design. This is a two-tone color scheme that is similar to that of the current Pixel Buds, only the second color is gray on the A-Series instead of black. According to an earlier Google leak that 9to5Google wrote about, the Pixel Buds A-Series will also get a white-and-dark green color scheme.
Prices or availability of the earphones are not yet known. The tweet states that the product is now available, but this is incorrect. According to a previous update to the Google Pixel Buds app, the A-Series may not support the swipe gestures to adjust the volume. Google may present the Pixel Buds A-Series at Google I/O, which is May 18-20 this year.
