Deep Silver shares teaser new Saints Row, announcement follows during Gamescom
Deep Silver has published a teaser of a new Saints Row game. The short film shows a graffiti-covered wall with the word “rebooting” on it. In addition, the Saints Row logo can be seen. The publisher will officially unveil the game during Gamescom.
The short video was initially produced by game journalist Geoff Keighley shared on Twitter, after which the official Saints Row Canal shared the message and posted a screenshot of the graffiti wall itself, according to EuroGamer. Keighley promises a full reveal of the game during Gamescom 2021. The video game fair will start on Wednesday, August 25.
Almost exactly two years ago, Deep Silver announced a new Saints Row, under development at Deep Silver Volition. The company then announced that it was a full-fledged sequel to the last Saint Row from 2013. It is not clear whether the teaser is indeed referring to that project. The word rebooting can refer to a completely new beginning for the franchise, but it could also simply describe the continuation of the current series. Since 2013, Deep Silver has released another standalone expansion for Saints Row IV and a Saints Row: The Third remaster.
