Hideo Kojima announces that his game Death Stranding will be released for PC in the summer of 2020. The PlayStation 4 version will be released as planned on November 8 this year. It is not yet known through which download stores the PC version will be released.

Kojima Productions, the studio that makes Death Stranding, mentions the arrival of the PC version on Twitter. Details about the PC version are not yet available, only it is known that the game will be released sometime in the summer of next year. Death Stranding is Kojima’s first game since he left Konami in 2015. The game was made with support from Sony; the console version will therefore only be released for the PlayStation 4. The game uses the Decima engine from Guerrilla Games. It is the first time that a game with that engine will be released for the PC.

It is not yet known through which download stores the PC version of Death Stranding will be available. 505 Games will release the PC version, Gematsu reports. 505 Games is also the publisher of Control, which came out on the Epic Games Store.

It was already known years ago that there would be a PC version of Death Stranding. However, the title has mainly been in the news as a PlayStation 4 exclusive and it has remained silent about a PC version. In 2015, there was a message on Medium about the collaboration between Sony and Kojima Productions. It talked about a console exclusive for the PS4 and then a release for the PC.
