Dbrand: S-Pen stylus does not work properly with MagSafe accessories

Dbrand reports that the S-Pen stylus of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra no longer functions properly once users use both a MagSafe case and a MagSafe charger to charge the smartphones. In that case, magnetic interference would occur.

According to Dbrand, this interference is also present when using only a MagSafe case for Samsung S23 or S24 Ultra phones, but it would hardly be noticeable there. According to the company, the malfunction is caused by the strength, thickness and diameter of the magnets used in a MagSafe case, although there are a number of other factors involved.

The company writes on Reddit that touches via fingers are still registered because magnetic interference has no influence on this. Finally, Dbrand also notes that Samsung has since the introduction of the Galaxy Note 8 warns of magnetic interference when using the S-Pen.
