35.5 million customers have been affected by a data breach following a cyber attack in December last year, according to VF Corporation, the parent company of clothing brands such as Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Eastpak, Kipling and Supreme.

From one document from the US Securities and Exchange Commission the company admits that the data breach will affect 35.5 million customers. The company says it did not collect social security numbers or consumer bank account and payment card information. There would also be no evidence that passwords were stolen by the hackers. The unauthorized users are said to have lost access to VF Corp’s systems two days after the discovery.

Last December, VF Corp. warned customers that a cyber attack could impact the fulfillment of holiday orders. The company noticed ‘unauthorized events’ in its IT systems that month. Although company data and personal data were allegedly stolen, it had not yet been revealed whether any customers had been affected. VF Corp. has not yet confirmed who is responsible for the cyber attack.
