Darksiders III first details leak out

An American website discovered that Amazon is reporting Darksiders III. According to the internet shop, the new edition will be released at the end of 2018, for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game gets a new main character with the female Fury.

The American Gematsu discovered a mention of Darksiders III on Amazon. The web store also reported the first details. For example, the third part of the series in Fury seems to get a new main character. Fury is also one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, just like War and Death, the main characters of the two previous games.

Fury is a mage who not only has magical powers, but is also armed with a whip. She tries to restore the balance between good and evil in the game. Fury can also take many forms. In the appearances, she can wield different weaponry and it gives the player multiple ways to move through levels. Fury takes on the Seven Deadly Sins and their subjects, made up of magical creatures and degenerate monstrosities.

As in the previous games in the series, the player will travel back and forth between different parts of the game world. The game would be made in the same striking graphical style as the first two games in the series. The player not only stays on earth, but also makes trips to heaven and hell. Parts of the game world have been destroyed by war and overgrown by encroaching nature. Amazon reports that Darksiders III will be released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The web store reports that the game will be released on December 31, 2018, although that seems more like a placeholder.

Darksiders III is marketed by THQ Nordic and made by the American Gunfire Games. The studio was founded by former staff of Vigil Games, the studio that created the first two games in the series. Vigil had to close due to the bankruptcy of publisher THQ in 2013. After the bankruptcy of THQ, the rights to the series were bought by publisher Nordic Games, which later renamed itself THQ Nordic.
