Publisher Nordic Games has confirmed the existence of a version of Darksiders II for the current generation of consoles to website GameSpot. However, the publisher does not want to reveal more about it. It is not clear whether the game will be released for the Xbox One. It is not yet known when the new edition will be released. The game already appeared in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. Earlier this week, Amazon was briefly able to find a version for the PlayStation 4, which was available in the web store for $ 40 as Darksiders II: Definitive Edition.

Darksiders II was released in 2012 by Vigil Games, who were also responsible for the 2010 original. They are the only games Vigil has made. After Darksiders II was released, the studio was sucked into the bankruptcy of publisher THQ, who owned the studio. When THQ’s properties went up for auction, the rights to the game passed into the hands of Nordic Games.
