Dark Souls III will be released in Europe in April 2016 – Update
The action-RPG Dark Souls III will be released in Europe in April 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows. The Japanese release date of March 24, 2016 was already known, but not yet for the rest of the world.
Publisher Namco Bandai will be announcing the release info at this week’s Tokyo Game Show. From Software, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, among others, is developing Dark Souls III. He was also the director of Dark Souls, but not Dark Souls II.
The story of the game again focuses on the ‘Lords of Cinder’ who also played a role in the first part. Compared to the previous games in the Dark Souls series, the pace of combat should be faster as players can perform their movements faster.
In addition, Namco Bandai has announced that it will be conducting a network stress test on the PlayStation 4. The goal is to test servers, evaluate multiplayer gameplay, and test the game’s balance. Participants in this test receive a copy of the game on their console via download, and can play the game during the test periods. Sessions will be held from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
You can register from Friday, September 18 at 5 pm to Sunday, October 4 at 5 pm. The results of the draw will be announced by email on Tuesday, October 13 at 3am. Those who are not chosen will not receive an email from Namco Bandai. All times are subject to change. Interested parties can register on the Dark Souls 3 site.
Update, 12:17 PM: The information about the Network Stress Test has been added to the article.
