Cyberpunk 2077 is back on PlayStation Store starting next week
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for purchase again on the PlayStation Store from June 21. Sony had removed the game from its digital games store a week after its release in December, due to numerous bugs and performance issues with the PS4 version of the game.
More than half a year after its release, the digital edition of Cyberpunk 2077 will be available again in the PlayStation Store. Publisher CD Projekt will announce this in a short announcement addressed to investors. The publisher does not provide any further explanation.
Soon after its release, Sony removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and all players who purchased the game digitally could request a refund. At the time, Sony said that this measure had been taken “until further notice”, but it was not known when the game would return.
In recent months, developer CD Projekt RED has released several updates that fix various bugs and make the game work better on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There were especially problems on the previous generation consoles; However, Microsoft never took the Xbox version off the digital shelves.
Whether the return of Cyberpunk 2077 is linked to the release of an update with improvements is not clear. The last update for the game was a hotfix, which was released on April 14. Patch 1.21 of March 29 was the last major update, it contained several changes that made the game run better on the previous generation consoles.
