Within ten days, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a new update that should fix bugs and crashes and a larger patch with significant changes will follow “in the weeks after”, CD Projekt RED reports. The developer hasn’t given any substantive details about the patches yet, but the announcement is mentioned in a message accompanied by a video message in which Marcin Iwiński, one of the founders of the studio, makes extensive apologies for the state of the game as it is. has been released on consoles.

A published timeline lists the upcoming patches as versions 1.1 and 1.2. Previously released patches were labeled as hotfix. The next-gen update for the game, which should allow the game to fully utilize the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, will be released in the second half of 2021 according to the timeline.

After the two upcoming patches, there will be several updates with improvements throughout the year, but the schedule is not yet known. CD Projekt RED said before the game’s release that it would release free DLC for the game in early 2021, but now the studio says it is delaying it to prioritize bug fixes.
